023: Those seeking immortality all/eventually go to the mountains...

Those seeking immortality all

eventually go to the mountains

for the winds here never die

 

all we must do is to become

these winds who are more fluid, more

yielding than even the Taoists' water

 

(These winds) they sing to me

in a chorus of flutes and I

am left with nothing to do except

dance with the ghosts of Rumi and

Shams of Tabriz where-ever, when-ever

the wind finds a reed
