How safe and accepted barriers are!

How dangerous it seems

even when others

abandon their divisions

 

What are we afraid of?

Why are we afraid?

 

We are afraid of those

who refuse to hide

We fear the unafraid,

they beset all these

fortresses we invest in

and defend with ghosts

 

There are no traps but what we set for ourselves,

no illusions except for the ones we have faith in.

 

What would you do if I leaped up

from behind all my restrictions

to embrace you in the nude?

Would you dispel all your anxieties

or would you reinforce them?

 

I've already asked you,

what can remain hidden?
