104: I’m with you, moving, following/as you lead me through...
Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 4:06AM I’m with you, moving, following
as you lead me through
these changing forms
and the whole time
I feel
separate
I can’t tell you how many things
I see when I see you
I get so confused
like heated molecules dancing
in some finite space
contained
I want to tell you all these things
but I need you to do more
than to listen to all these words rising
out of some uncertain
interior space
from this nothingness
Strip yourself to the very core
I want to see you naked before me
to see what the reality is
behind the reality
All your division
can’t keep me from hearing
the banging clamor of your hear
trapped inside shouting
Let Me Out!
There are things more necessary
than food and water and breath
Do these things or you will
only be yourself
All this absence you’re feeling
is like a water wheel
turning around and around
(inside you)
crying out for intimacy
Forget all your quiet
leave it, drop it, smash it
tear it from you
and take a single step
towards me
These poems are never organized
when I write them down (without you)
how am I supposed to know
what they’re trying to say?
