106: Every time I write these poems about you/they’re always saying the same things:...

Every time I write these poems about you

they’re always saying the same things:

division    separation    absence     quiet

I thought you’d be sick of it by now!

What am I supposed to do with

all this kinetic desire

while you are weighted down

in your cold, shining armor.

I cry out like Prymus:

“Wall show me thy chink!”

hoping to disarm you

so I can find a way in

But what do I know

I keep writing these same things

           over and over and over
