150: Be quiet/here the softest tear...
Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 8:16AM Be quiet
here the softest tear
is a roaring waterfall
here the blinking of an eye
is a clap of thunder
here a whisper would be Armageddon
There are no words
when you’ve left your body
so far away
Don’t worry
it doesn’t matter that you’re still sitting inside it
inside and outside have nothing to do with proximity
distance is a con-man
trying to get you to believe
what isn’t true
Watch out for his partners
you can recognize them
by all their trying to be important
Dismiss them and
become the self you see
without mirrors
(reflection is what has been and not what is now)
forget all you know
about who you are
that you might become yourself
Don’t change your clothes and
put on other shoes to go out dancing
dance right now
without all your preparations
You can’t get ready to come here
like you’re going to an interview
this place is everywhere
its door always calling out silently
When you do something totally unexpected
that inspiration was the creator
dancing with you in our ballroom
Quiet all your definitions
all your questions
this place neither has a name I can tell you
nor one you can call it by
take away this paper and ink
the poem that you have left
is half-way to what I’ve been saying
