I’m going to count down from three

and snap my fingers

and you will awake feeling

refreshed and unafraid

you will remember what has happened

but it will seem like a distant dream

that can no longer harm, effect, or restrain you

when you awake

you will be loosed from all

the fears you’ve been taught

the prejudices you’ve been subjected to

the isolation you’ve experienced

the confusion you’ve felt

the hate you’ve contacted

the insecurities you’ve accumulated

when you awake

all of what has kept you from

beauty

all of what has kept you from

openness

all of what has

kept you

will melt and drip from you

and leave you clean, refreshed, and unafraid

in the world of
