172: Nathan read one of his poems/one of his heart-breakingly beautiful poems...

Nathan read one of his poems

one of his heart-breakingly beautiful poems

it made my mouth hang open

and I almost drooled

you know the kind of poems I’m talking about

And I turn to Laura

who’s sitting across the table

and I tell her:

          “I glad I’m not a woman

           because if I was

I’d have to throw myself at him.”

And Laura smiles,

puts her hand on my arm,

and she says:

                    “You don’t

            have

to be a woman

You don’t have to be a woman

                     You don’t have

           to be

a woman.”
