188: Why do we spend so many of our precious notes/singing about what can’t be said, but only felt?...

Why do we spend so many of our precious notes

singing about what can’t be said, but only felt?

The asking is always:

show me, show me, show me

and all we can do

and all of our responding is:

listen, listen, or

attention, attention

our voices are full

but our

            hands

                      are empty

and so we say come here

and take what I’m holding

but there will be nothing to hold

until the audience speaks

and the emptiness is filled with voices crying out

to embracing the precious notes of all the emptiness

we’ve been trying to say all this time.
