199: I wake up/in the middle of my...

I wake up

in the middle of my

life

to find myself

writing

in the kitchen gadget aisle

at Target

 

And I can’t believe

I’m being inspired by

kitchen gadgets—

 

I can’t believe I’m writing about being inspired by kitchen gadgets

 

But who am I to complain

or question

after all,

it’s all poetry.
