220: You are the new/life, and I want to tell you...

You are the new

life, and I want to tell you

everything I know so

some part of me will

          never die

 

but whether I say

anything

or not

doesn’t matter

          wouldn’t matter

 

You will learn it all anyway

 

you will learn it probably

even faster and more completely than I did

 

and if I don’t say anything it will

doubtless mean

more to you

it will be more valuable to you having

found it yourself inside you

and not from hearing it from me

 

so all I’ll do is smile

           smile at you

 

the new life
