I don’t know

all these new people

          with their new faces and

                    new names

They come and go so quickly

I barely remember mine

What was the name

of that

               new band

                                     that

               new show

                                     that

               new car

O! I’ll let them rush ahead

I just need to rest here

                       a little while

For so many years

I’ve been swimming in this new sea

I would have drowned

                     long ago

but you have always stayed the same

                                          for me
