ground and house

scrape

small trail of blood

musty echoing
from the purple door
ajar
a slim opening

voices from the purple door:

breakfast

daughter and son

stamps

the oven

I know the voices that come
from there
     Don’t
come
from there

like a tape recording of
your own voice sounds
alien
like a splinter of your
real sound
not
at
all
like:

tape lots of tape

seal

world stabbings

outside

seal all the cracks

but the purple door
leave
that slim whispering
open
and the knob
for the
g a s


so  there  will  be          


no encore
